KaVo INTRA Mini Head L52 Care Guide: Look After the Head That Fits Where Others Cannot

The smaller the head, the easier it is to underestimate. The KaVo INTRA Mini head L52 works in tight spaces with miniature burs, and its care routine needs the same precision.

Here is how to keep it ready for your next pediatric list or hard-to-reach preparation.

At a glance: Thermo-disinfectable and sterilizable up to 135°C · optimised head design without unnecessary corners and edges · 2-year warranty, according to KaVo.

Clean a Small Head Without Missing a Spot

KaVo says its INTRA heads have an optimised design without unnecessary corners and edges for easy maintenance and reliable hygiene. On a mini head, that only helps if each surface is cleaned deliberately. Remove the L52 from the shank with the quick-action safety retention collar so both parts can be cleaned properly.

Choose KaVo Care Products

KaVo offers KaVo Spray for manual care, CLEANspray and DRYspray for alcohol-free internal cleaning and drying, and the QUATTROcare PLUS for automated care with a collet program.

Did you know? KaVo says the current INTRA heads have a stainless steel case with 65% higher material hardness, twice as resistant to deformation as titanium.

Organize Mini Burs Separately

Because the L52 is designed for 16 mm miniature burs, keep them in their own labeled block. Grabbing a standard-length bur by mistake slows the appointment and puts the chuck under unnecessary stress.

Mini head feeling less precise? Book an L52 check with Repair.Dental before your next pediatric session.

Store It Ready for Tight-Space Work

Store the L52 only after full reprocessing, sterile and labeled, so it is easy to find when a confined-space case comes up.

Watch for These Green and Red Flags
