The Paste-Smart Routine in Five Steps

Step	Action	Reason
1	Remove the cup, rubber disk or brush	Exposes the thread and knob
2	Wipe off paste while it is still wet	Wet paste comes off easily
3	Separate head from shank; clean inside and out	Both parts get full attention
4	Apply KaVo care after cleaning	Never over leftover paste
5	Sterilize at no more than 135°C	KaVo's listed limit

Thread and Knob: Small Parts, Big Job

The L31 holds snap-on and screw-type attachments with a thread and knob, according to KaVo. A clean thread helps every attachment seat securely.

Your KaVo Care Toolkit

KaVo offers KaVo Spray, CLEANspray and DRYspray for alcohol-free internal cleaning and drying, and the QUATTROcare PLUS for automated care.

Pro tip: Clean first, care second. Applying care products over leftover paste can push it further into the head.

The Shortcut KaVo Warns Against

KaVo's care tips recommend only KaVo-recommended care products and warn that descaling agents may lead to corrosion.

A Hygiene Room That Is Always Ready

Store the L31 sterile and labeled, separate from restorative heads, so hygienists can find it in seconds.
