KaVo MASTERmatic M05 L Mini Repair Guide: Big Power in a Smaller Head

The KaVo MASTERmatic M05 L Mini packs the same 1:5 speed increase and up to 200,000 rpm as the M25 L into a mini head. KaVo highlights the small head size for access in difficult areas, for example, when treating children and seniors.

That small head brings its own repair considerations, starting with the burs you put in it.

A Spec Detail to Double-Check

KaVo's international MASTERmatic page lists a three-nozzle spray for the M05 L Mini, while KaVo's US page lists a 1-port spray for the M05 L. Check your own instrument before ordering parts or judging spray output.

Why Bur Length Matters in a Mini Head

KaVo specifies the M05 L Mini for miniature burs with a 16.5 mm shaft length as well as standard 19 mm burs. Using the right bur for the procedure, fully seated, protects the chuck and keeps rotation precise in the smaller head.

Faults That Bring It to the Bench

Vibration or roughness, despite Triple Gear technology

A bur that slips or wobbles

Spray that weakens after a filter change

Dim light on a LUX motor

	Heat at the head

Warranty First

KaVo lists a 24-month warranty for the MASTERmatic series. If the M05 L Mini is still covered, KaVo REPAIR is the place to start.
