A premium speed increaser rewards premium habits. The KaVo MASTERmatic M25 L combines a three-nozzle spray, an exchangeable spray filter, and Triple Gear technology, and each of them depends on the care it gets after every patient.

This guide organizes KaVo's official guidance around those three features.

The Morning Spray Check

Run the M25 L briefly and look at the three nozzles. KaVo's care tips explain that hard water can clog spray channels, and a dirty filter reduces spray quality and quantity. Too little spray can damage tooth and pulp through overheating.

Are all three nozzles spraying evenly? You are ready.

One nozzle weak? Clean it with KaVo's dedicated nozzle needle, never a root canal needle.

All three weak? Replace the exchangeable spray filter.

Lubricating a Triple Gear Drive

Use KaVo Spray or the QUATTROcare PLUS, which KaVo says purges gears and spray channels with compressed air, removes excess oil and includes a collet program. For a gear system KaVo designed specifically for smooth running, consistent lubrication matters.

Spray uneven even after a new filter? Let Repair. Dental clear it properly. Reach us on 1-855-533-3399.

Caring for the Plasmatec Surface

KaVo says the Plasmatec coating provides a perfect grip and excellent hygiene. Follow KaVo's preparation stages, external and internal cleaning, internal disinfection, manual maintenance and sterilization, and avoid descaling agents, which KaVo warns may cause corrosion.

O-Rings at the Coupling

When O-rings wear, replace the whole set without sharp tools, using only KaVo-recommended oils, never Vaseline, and attach the M25 L in a straight line with a slight twist.

Habits That Shorten an M25 L's Life

Ignoring a single weak nozzle because the other two still spray.

Leaving an old spray filter in place.

Skipping lubrication on busy days.

Using descaling agents on the body.

Choosing a sterilizer program above 135°C.

M25 L Care Questions, Answered

How many spray nozzles does the M25 L have?

KaVo lists a three-nozzle spray for the M25 L.

When should I change the spray filter?

When spray quality drops. KaVo's care tips link a dirty filter to reduced spray.
