KaVo MASTERmatic M45 L Repair Guide: Servicing KaVo's Molar-Access Specialist

KaVo designed the MASTERmatic LUX M45 L for one of dentistry's toughest views: the molar region. Its head and knee angle combination is built for visibility and access where other instruments struggle.

This guide explains what sets the M45 L apart and how that shapes a repair decision.

Not Just Another Red Ring

According to KaVo's MASTERmatic page, the M45 L (Mat. no. 1.014.0280) is a 1:4.2 speed-increasing contra-angle with a speed range up to 168,000 rpm. That is a different ratio from the 1:5 M25 L, so do not judge its speed against a 200,000 rpm instrument.
