Because TORQTECH attachments run off external air or electric motors, troubleshooting starts with the same question every time: is this the attachment, or the motor driving it? Answering that first, before assuming a specific model's internals are at fault, saves the most time across this eight-configuration range.

When It Needs a Professional

Chuck cleaning, light guide and spray filter maintenance, correct bur selection, and isolating motor vs. attachment issues are all things a practice can do chairside. Internal bearing or gear wear, and light guide replacement where cleaning doesn't help, need a technician experienced with TORQTECH's specific internals across its eight configurations.

FAQs

My TORQTECH attachment runs fine unloaded but loses power on a tooth what does that mean?

Test the head on a different motor first this fits a motor or coupling issue more often than an internal fault in the attachment itself.

Is it normal for the CA-4R-O-PF to feel different in use than a rotary model?

Yes per J. Morita's specifications, this model uses a reciprocating stroke (up to 5,250 strokes/min) rather than continuous rotation, by design, for stripping, debonding, and finishing work.
