Is your DentalEZ vacuum system losing suction, overheating, or completely down? At Repair.Dental, we repair rugged DentalEZ VacStar and central vacuum systems quickly using high-quality, certified replacement parts to restore strong and stable suction performance.

Your dental vacuum is the lungs of your entire clinic. When a DentalEZ or Ramvac dry vacuum system goes down, your operatory chairs go dark. Whether you are dealing with a sudden drop in vacuum pressure, a failing belt, or an overheating pump block, you need technician support that understands dry-vacuum technology.

We provide factory-standard diagnostic, repair, and preventative maintenance services for the entire Ramvac utility line, keeping your clinic running at peak performance.

When Your DentalEZ Vacuum Needs Repair

Gradual Suction Drop: Clogged internal filters (primary and secondary teepee filters) starves the clinic of airflow.

The Fix: Replace the dual-stage filter elements and inspect the underlying spud gasket for air leaks.

Pump Overheating & Thermal Tripping: Driven by low oil levels or poor plant room ventilation (ambient heat must stay below 40°C).

The Fix: Flush the reservoir and refill exclusively with authorized synthetic 15W-50 oil.

Rapid Oil Consumption: Needle dripper valves are out of calibration, leading to blue vapor or burnt-oil scents.

The Fix: Calibrate the needle valves via the sight glass to deliver exactly 1 to 3 drops per minute under clinical load.

Loud Hum or Vibration: A loose, frayed, or slipping drive belt between the motor and the pump.

The Fix: Tension the V-belt to 1/4" deflection under 4 lbs of pressure, or replace it entirely.

Direct Fixes for DentalEZ Failures

Failure Symptom	Direct Technical Cause	Immediate Field Fix
Sudden, Total Loss of Suction	Primary or secondary controller filters are completely plugged with solid matter or bio-sludge.	Replace Both Filters: Shut down the unit. Lift the vacuum controller assembly straight off the pump housing. Replace the primary element and the secondary "teepee" filter. Check that the underlying spud gasket isn't torn.
Pump Overheats & Shuts Down	Low oil level, wrong oil viscosity, or plant room ambient temperature exceeds 40°C.	Fluid Flush & Top-off: Drain the oil reservoir completely. Refill only with factory-approved synthetic oil (such as Mobil 1 15W-50). Clear any debris blocking the plant room ventilation paths.
Blue Smoke or Excessive Oil Use	Lubrication needle dripper valves are out of calibration or jammed open.	Calibrate the Drip Rate: Run the pump for 10 minutes to warm it up. Look through the bottom sight glass and adjust the needle metering valves until you see exactly 1 to 3 drops per minute at 7" to 7.5" Hg.
Loud Screeching or Heavy Vibration	The V-belt connecting the motor to the pump shaft is loose, frayed, or slipping.	Tension or Swap the V-Belt: Loosen the motor mount bolts. Adjust the belt until it yields exactly 1/4" deflection under 4 lbs of finger pressure. Tighten bolts or replace cracked belts.
