Delivery unit positioning
Nitrous oxide and oxygen connection setup
Gas tubing and line connections
Flowmeter and control assembly setup
Breathing circuit connections
Scavenging system connections

Components We Can Help Set Up

Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Flowmeter

The flowmeter is central to controlling the delivery of the gases. We assist with applicable setup and connection requirements based on the manufacturer's specifications.

Delivery Head & Controls

The delivery head, control knobs, gauges, and associated components need to be positioned for practical access during clinical use.

Breathing Circuit

Applicable tubing, masks, connectors, and breathing-circuit components are connected and checked as part of the equipment setup.

Scavenging System

A properly configured scavenging arrangement is an important part of nitrous oxide delivery. Applicable connections and interfaces are reviewed during installation.

Gas Supply Connections

The connection between the delivery system and the facility's gas supply requires attention to equipment specifications, connection types, and applicable installation requirements.

Planning the Installation Before Setup

A successful installation begins before the equipment is connected.

We may review:

Equipment Model

Different manufacturers and models can have different installation requirements.

Gas Sources

The available nitrous oxide and oxygen supply configuration must be appropriate for the equipment.

Treatment Room Layout

Equipment placement should allow practical access and avoid unnecessary interference with clinical workflow.

Scavenging Arrangement

The available evacuation system should be considered when planning the installation.

Utilities & Connections

Applicable electrical, gas, suction, and other connection requirements are reviewed.

Applicable Requirements

Installation should follow manufacturer instructions and relevant local, state, and national requirements.

Nitrous System Installation for Different Practice Needs

New Dental Practice

Set up nitrous oxide/oxygen delivery equipment as part of your initial treatment-room infrastructure.

Existing Operatory Upgrade

Add or replace sedation equipment while working around your current clinical setup.

Equipment Replacement

Replace an outdated delivery system and establish the new equipment according to its installation specifications.

Treatment-Room Renovation

Coordinate the equipment setup with changes to room layout, utilities, or clinical infrastructure.

Equipment Relocation

When applicable, support the setup of equipment moved to another treatment area, subject to site and manufacturer requirements.

Installation Verification

Once the system has been installed, applicable checks can help identify setup problems before the equipment enters routine use.

Depending on the system, we may review:

Gas connections
Tubing and fittings
Flow controls
Breathing-circuit connections
Scavenging connections
Visible leaks
Equipment controls
System functionality
General installation condition

Required pressure testing, gas-line certification, validation, or regulatory inspection should be performed according to applicable requirements by appropriately qualified personnel.

Why Professional Installation Matters

Improperly configured gas delivery equipment can create operational and safety concerns. Professional installation helps your practice establish a system that is:

Properly connected
Organized for clinical use
Accessible for maintenance
Compatible with the intended equipment
Checked before routine operation
Installed according to applicable manufacturer requirements

The goal is not simply to get the equipment connected—it is to establish a dependable setup that integrates appropriately into the treatment environment.
