When an X-ray passes through the sensor, it is absorbed by the photodiodes, which generate an electrical charge. The charge is then converted into a digital signal by the sensor&#39;s software, which is used to create a digital image.

CMOS sensors have several advantages over CCD sensors, including lower power consumption, lower manufacturing costs, and higher resistance to damage from exposure to light or heat. They also produce high-quality images with low noise levels, making them ideal for dental applications.
