Troubleshooting Tips for White Images with the Dexis Dental Sensor

Dexis Dental Sensor white images issue is a problem that many dentists and dental hygienists face when taking digital X-ray images of their patients. The issue can arise due to hardware or software issues, resulting in the image being overexposed and coming out as a white image. This has caused concern for many dentists as it can make diagnosis difficult or even impossible.

White images or no images can be caused by a number of different factors. Your sensor interface boxes, tube-head, both of your x-ray sensors, or improper tube-head placement could all be at fault.

• When testing a Dexis dental sensor, it is important to test with something metal placed over the sensor and have the tube-head right on top of the sensor.
• If the white image issue still occurs, move to a different room with a different tube-head and test.
• Test your DexUSB box (if it is a dexUSB) on multiple USB ports on the computer, and if moving USB ports and buying a powered USB hub didn't fix the issue, test the Dexis sensor again being sure to accurately record what combination of DexUSB/sensor you're using
•  Finally, install Dexis on a fresh desktop or laptop and test the sensors with that computer. At this point, the only other testing that you can do is to either take your sensors and DexUSB boxes to another office that uses Dexis or ask them if you can borrow their Dexis sensor to test in your office.

Your best bet would be to send them in to us at Repair.Dental for evaluation. If we get them in and they work perfectly fine in our office we will simply notify you of our findings and ship your Dexis sensors back to you.
